The Time Machine

Thomas has always enjoyed building small models and exploring the local park. Last summer, while helping his family clean the attic, he discovered a dusty wooden chest hidden behind some old furniture. He has wondered about its contents ever since that surprising day. When he opened the chest carefully, he found bundles of letters tied with ribbon, written by his great-grandfather. The letters described a beautiful garden that once existed where the park now stands, a secret place his ancestor loved. Reading those words, Thomas felt a deep connection to a past he had never known. He realized that ordinary places can hold extraordinary stories, completely changing how he viewed his neighborhood. Since making this discovery, he has started a project to document local history with his classmates. They have collected several old photos and interviews from elderly residents. This experience has taught him that looking into the past, although sometimes challenging, can help us understand our present. He now sees his town not just as it is, but also as it was, filled with layers of hidden stories waiting to be found.
