Gulliver's Travels (Part 1)

Thomas had always been the tallest student in his class, a fact that made him feel isolated during his early school years. Although he could see over everyone's heads in a crowd, he often wished he could blend in more easily. His classmates, who were much shorter, sometimes treated him like he was from another world. Because of his size, they assumed he was older or less approachable, which was not true. Thomas has learned to appreciate his unique perspective, both literally and figuratively, over the past year. He joined the volleyball team, where his height became an advantage that helped his team win several matches. Finding a group that valued his difference was a turning point for him. He now understands that everyone has qualities that make them special. Being different is not a problem if you can find people who accept you. Thomas has made lasting friendships with teammates who share his passion for sports. He still stands out in a crowd, but he no longer feels lonely because of it.
