The Prince and the Pauper

Henry and Thomas, two boys with strikingly similar faces, have always lived in the same city yet different worlds. Henry, whose father is a successful merchant, enjoys a comfortable life filled with books and leisure. Thomas, on the other hand, helps his family by delivering bread every morning before school. One bright afternoon, drawn by curiosity, they both traveled to the city center to admire the royal palace. Meeting by chance near the ornate gates, they were instantly fascinated by their mirrored appearance. They quickly decided to try on each other's clothes, an impulsive choice that promised a thrilling adventure. Finding a secluded garden corner, they exchanged their outfits, laughing at their transformed reflections. Emboldened by their disguises, they decided to explore the area, each eager to experience the other's life for just a moment. Walking a short distance from their meeting spot, they soon encountered unexpected complications. A palace guard, noticing Thomas in Henry's expensive jacket, immediately approached him. Mistaking Thomas for the young merchant's son, the guard politely escorted him through the palace gates. Henry, now wearing simple work clothes, was completely ignored and left standing outside. Realizing the trouble they had created, Henry felt a wave of panic. He has been waiting nervously by the large tree for over an hour, hoping his friend will find a way to return.
