오늘의 본문 READING

Choosing one's own path is a significant challenge that requires courage, especially when it conflicts with societal expectations. Although external pressures can be immense, establishing personal boundaries is essential for self-respect. A person's inner dignity must be protected, even if this decision leads to difficult consequences. Therefore, the choice to leave a comfortable situation, unless it aligns with one's core values, is an act of self-preservation. This perspective values integrity over temporary security, which contributes to long-term happiness. However, such a path is rarely easy and often involves significant personal sacrifice. The journey toward self-discovery is therefore marked by difficult but necessary choices. These choices ultimately define who we are and what we stand for in life. When we prioritize our principles, we build a foundation for genuine self-respect. This foundation, although tested by challenges, provides the strength to face future obstacles. Consequently, the most important journey is the one that leads us back to our authentic selves. This authenticity is the true measure of a life well-lived, regardless of external validation. The courage to be oneself, therefore, is the greatest achievement one can attain. (170 words)
