Gulliver's Travels (Part 1)

Thomas has recently returned from a distant mountain village, having discovered something extraordinary during his trip. He encountered a clear lake that changed colors with the weather, reflecting brilliant shades under the sun. More surprisingly, he met an old man who claimed to remember stories from two hundred years ago. Thomas, fascinated by these experiences, carefully wrote down everything he saw and heard. He has brought back not just memories but also a small, smooth stone from the lakeshore. Arriving home, he eagerly shared his adventures with his neighbors and classmates. Although his descriptions were detailed and passionate, most listeners reacted with polite disbelief or quiet laughter. They thought such things could not exist in the modern world. Presenting the colorful stone as proof, Thomas found that very few people accepted what he said was true. This experience has taught him that people often doubt stories which sound too magical. He now understands that belief sometimes requires seeing with one's own eyes. Keeping his journal private, he sometimes wonders if others will ever believe his amazing tale.
