The concept of justice is fundamentally challenged when individuals face condemnation not for their deeds, but for their associations. This practice, often seen during periods of social upheaval, establishes a dangerous precedent where innocence is irrelevant. A person might be arrested and sentenced because their family name alone evokes hatred, a significant failure of legal principle. Although revolutions seek to correct historical wrongs, they frequently replicate the injustices they oppose. When guilt is determined by lineage rather than evidence, the rule of law collapses. Therefore, the protection of individual rights must be considered essential, even during societal transformation. The mob's desire for retribution, while powerful, should never override the necessity for fair trials. This perspective requires recognizing that punishing someone for their family's crimes is itself a form of injustice. Such collective punishment ignores personal responsibility and fosters cycles of violence. Consequently, a stable society must be built on judging actions, not identities, to ensure lasting peace.
